The National Police Canine Association, the prominent certifying agency in Arizona , is proud to be partnering with ATF to improve explosive detection canines in law enforcement.  The Nation Odor Recognition Test (NORT) is a cooperative effort amongst leading International and National police canine associations, and ATF.  The program is currently in development stages with an instructional course for NORT evaluators planned for November 2007.  A subsequent evaluation of the program, including input solicited from NPCA and other canine associations, is scheduled for spring 2008.
