ALECA Board of Directors message re: COIVD-19 Outbreak and 2020 Desert Dog Police K9 Trials.

Like many of you we are closely monitoring the outbreak of the COVID-19 and the impact it is having on us all. As a dedicated organization who serves the community, we have decided to take a moment to update all of our members, vendors, and sponsors. First and foremost, our focus is public safety. We want to ensure that we are taking the necessary steps in response to this national emergency as was allocated by President Trump. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) and Arizona Department of Health Services (AZDHS) are recommending along with Governor Doug Ducey that the public begin to actively participate in reducing the spread of the virus by utilizing social distancing. This may in turn, require ALECA to cancel and/or postpone the upcoming K9 Trials planned for April 18-19th, 2020. We plan to follow the future recommendations closely and will update each of you as new information is made available. Thank you for your dedication and patience.

Sincerely,

Your ALECA board of directors
